    • Principal, Anne McLean gave a presentation on the impact Professional Learning Communities have made on Page Street Elementary

  • Montgomery County Schools Strategic Plan – (Enclosure) – Dale Ellis - The Board approved the Strategic Plan.

  • Montgomery County Schools Free Breakfast Update – (Enclosure 7) - Frank Fiorella, child nutrition director, gave the Board an update on the free breakfast initiative.  The Board approved the pilot to continue through the 2011-12 school year.
  • 2009-2010 Montgomery County Schools Dropout Report – (Enclosure 8) – Ed Caldwell presented the dropout report to the Board.

IV. Leadership Will Guide Innovation in NC Public Schools
 
  • Board Member Staff Development Opportunities – (Enclosure) - Dale Ellis - The majority of the Board voted to keep the current travel policy for board members.

V. NC Public Schools Will be Governed and Supported by 21st Century Systems

 
·         Policy and Regulations – (Enclosure 10) – Kevin Lancaster The Board approved the following policies:
