VI. Superintendent’s Remarks

 

·         Dale Ellis: During his superintendent's comments, Dr. Ellis gave a budget update.  He will be sending out a memo within the next two weeks to employees, that will cover possible cuts.  The budget proposed by the Governor would result in a $600,000 local cut.  The school system will try to handle cuts through attrition.  The school system will partner with NCAE to launch a grassroots campaign, "Fund Schools First".
