MONTGOMERY COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION

WORK SESSION

April 6, 2009

The Montgomery County Board of Education convened in a work session on Monday, April 6, 2008, at 4:30 p.m. prior to the regular board meeting with the following members present:

                        Steven S. DeBerry, Chair

                        James M. Spivey, Vice Chair

                        Frances H. Reaves

                        Tommy Blake

                        Ann S. Long

                        Shirley M. Threadgill

            Chairman DeBerry called the meeting to order expressing appreciation for attendance at the meeting.

The areas of discussion were as follows:

• The status of our state and local budgets overview including possible reductions and allocations
• Current local budget status
• Projected local revenues

• The status of our current capital outlay

            The next budget work session with public hearing is scheduled for May 4, 2009, 4:30 p.m.  prior to the regular meeting at 6:30 p.m.
