AVID, Advancement Via Individual Determination, is a readiness system designed to increase the number of students who enroll and succeed in higher education and in their lives beyond high school. MCS uses this system in our middle and high schools by offering an AVID elective course for interested students. In addition, all teachers utilize AVID strategies in their classroom to engage students and maximize learning.
