Meet the Digital Learning Coaches
Digital Learning Coaches, Nora Beasley and Rebecca Shepherd, assist staff and students in integrating technology into effective teaching and learning. By focusing on learning objectives, the coaches help teachers implement best teaching practices that are infused with the cutting-edge technology tools and skills that students will need as they graduate from high school and enter higher-ed learning and the workforce.
The coaches also provide and lead professional development opportunities throughout the schools. Nora works mainly in schools on the west side of Montgomery County, while Rebecca works in schools on the east side of the county. The pair stays abreast of current and emerging technologies and shares pertinent information with school staff to help ensure digital learning practices that are integrated with best teaching practices. In addition to their duties at the schools, they present at learning conferences and are involved in Planned Learning Networks. They continue to add to a Digital Learning Tips YouTube channel and help maintain a vast repository of professional development opportunities for Montgomery County Schools' staff.
