Dear Parents and Students,
I am excited to be working with your children for the 2019-2020 school year. I am excited to see all the wonderful things that are going to happen this year. First, and foremost, I am thankful that you (parents) trust us with your most precious gems each and every day! We want to make sure establish and cultivate a supportive learning environment!
So, here is a little information about me:
I am a 2001 graduate of North Stanly High School (comet). I graduated from The University of NC at Greensboro in 2005 with a double major in Political Science and African American Studies and a minor in History and Spanish. I continued with UNCG by obtaining my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with a Concentration in High School Social Studies in 2007.
I started my career with Montgomery County Schools with one year at Montgomery Learning Academy, and 10 years at West Montgomery High School as a Social Studies Teacher. I was fortunate enough to coach cheerleading for all 10 years and I was honored to Coach Male and Female Track for five years in which we were a State Champion 6 times in my career. Men’s 4x100 2015, and 2016, Individual Women’s 100, 200, and 400!
I attended Gardner-Webb University and obtained my add-on licensure for administration in 2013. I then went back to Gardner-Webb and obtained my Superintendents License in 2017, and followed with my Doctorate in 2018. Overall, I have been blessed to serve a wonderful community and love coming to work every day! accomplish a lot due to the support of my family; husband, Cedric Baldwin, and three kids, Amari, Malia, and Cj! I value my family as much as I value yours!
We value our strong working relationship between the parents, community members and all external stakeholders as they share responsibility for helping students become globally competent and competitive citizens.
