Montgomery County Schools Inclement Weather Protocol

It is desirable for Montgomery County Schools to make announcements regarding school schedules by 5:30 a.m. When inclement weather is a strong possibility or reality, one of three decisions will be made by the school administration. We will run school as scheduled, delay, or close. No announcement means "school as usual."

In the event Montgomery County experiences inclement weather that will result in school delays or closings an automated phone message will be sent out to students and staff members from our AlertNow system. School administrators and bus drivers will be notified at approximately 5:30 am. Parents, teachers and support staff will be notified at approximately 6:00 am.

If parents feel conditions are unsafe in their area, they should keep their children at home.
