    Did You Know?
Save Money and Time:  Attend MCEC and Save Thousands in College Tuition! Attending an early college can save students up to approximately $40,000 by reducing the time needed to complete a bachelor’s degree and/or certificate. Last year 41 MCEC students earned their associate degree and/or a certification saving them two years of tuition costs. When asked, “What do you like best about MCEC?,” Bailey Crump (MCEC Senior) responded, “Graduating with a degree from MCC!”

School Culture: MCEC is a community - We work hard and also have fun! Whenever the schedule permits, we schedule team building and community building activities for students and staff members. Sometimes, the activities are suggested by students. Sometimes, they are designed by staff. As a unit, we complete service activities together. We engage in healthy competition. We participate in getting-to-know you activities. We celebrate success. We break down barriers. We promote achievement. Most importantly, we have so much fun as we bond and reiterate the value and worth of every member of our Phoenix Family.

Athletics:  MCEC students are encouraged and may join sports teams and marching band at Montgomery Central High School. Julian Leake (MCEC Sophomore) shares what it is like to be a Phoenix student-athlete. “The staff at MCEC help student-athletes by being very understanding. The teachers are always available and respond in a caring way. The teachers show they love us. They are on our side helping and resolving situations. They are aware of our athletic achievements and attend games when they are able. That's real love. I 'pre-shade' my teachers. frfr.”

Clubs:  MCEC students have access to many clubs and groups, as well as the ability to join MCC clubs and organizations. MCEC offers several clubs and extracurricular activities including Beta Club, Yearbook Club, Student Government Association, Interact, F.I.R.E, Art Club, Fishing Club, Science Club, and the Student Ambassador Program. Students also have the opportunity to create new clubs based on their interests. Kailey Boyette (MCEC Junior) shares, “Clubs are a massive part of our school and make it feel like a community.”
