    Mrs. Robin R. Heath
    Distance Learning Advisor

    What's New?
The new school year at WMHS is off to great start with Career and College Promise!
Mrs. Heath is now in her 3rd year in Distance Learning.  With the new Career and College Promise through the North Carolina Community College System, Mrs. Heath is excited about expanding educational opportunities in distance learning.  Juniors and Seniors can choose a college pathway or a Career/Technical pathway, participate in online classes within these pathways and use these courses to receive college credit.  A variety of elective classes are offered depending on the pathway from Intro to Computers, General Psychology, Western Civilization, Sociology, Art Appreciation, English Expository Writing, Math, and much more.  Honors classes are also offered through North Carolina School of Science and Math (NCSSM) where students sit in an IVC teleconferencing classroom on site and are able to interact with an instructor via a Polycom system.  North Carolina Virtual Public Schools (NCVPS) is also a course provider giving students extended opportunities in their academics.
Keep in touch with what's happening in Distance Learning!
