Montgomery Central High School will begin Phase One of Return to Sports beginning July 7, 2020(pending School Board approval).
This phase will begin with fall athletes only.
Fall athletes and their parents are asked to report to East Montgomery or West Montgomery for a drive-thru packet pickup. Staff will be onsite at East Montgomery and West Montgomery to distribute packets on Thursday, June 25 from 5-6 pm. It is preferred that parents sign and return the documents while onsite.
Packets are also available to download HERE. Parents may print them and bring the completed packet on Thursday, June 25 to East Montgomery or West Montgomery from 5-6 pm.
The packet contains all paperwork needed for the season and the new guidelines established by the North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) to begin our sports seasons. Per the NCHSAA, all student-athletes who had a valid pre-participation physical examination on or after March 1, 2019, will be granted a temporary one-year extension of the physical exam requirement through the end of the 2020-21 academic year. If the student does not have a valid physical on or after March 1, 2019, he/she will need an updated physical examination prior to participating in any workouts.
We look forward to having our student-athletes back on campus. We will continue to communicate safety protocols with students and parents in the coming days.
