Montgomery County Early College Now Accepting Applications

Montgomery County Schools Early College High School (MCEC) is enrolling rising 9th-grade students for the 2021 - 2022 school year. MCEC students have the opportunity to earn their high school diploma and an associate degree or two years of transferable college credits in four or five years FOR FREE.

Applications for students interested in attending Montgomery County Early College are now available. Paper copies of the application can also be picked-up at Montgomery County Early College, East Middle School, or West Middle School. You may also call Montgomery County Early College at 910-898-9690 to request an application be mailed to you. If there are more than 50 students who meet the minimum qualifications for acceptance, then a selection lottery will be performed by the MCEC Selection Committee. The committee will follow the intent of the Cooperative Innovative High School Act giving priority to at-risk students, first-generation college students, and/or students in need of acceleration. Qualifying siblings of current students will also be given priority. Non-selected students will be placed on a waitlist.  

The application process requires students to submit a completed application packet by February 25, 2021.
