Breakfast and Lunch Information

updated August 31

After learning that the meal program waiver would not be extended past August 31, 2020, Montgomery County School's Child Nutrition, along with other child nutrition departments across the state, has advocated for the waiver's extension to ensure that children would still receive free meals. Today, the child nutrition department received exciting information from the USDA announcing that the meal program waiver has been extended through December 31, 2020. This fantastic news means that all individuals, 0 to 18 years of age, will continue to be able to receive breakfast and lunch free of charge. Meals will be available for students to pick up on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at our five drive-thru locations and at our community sites. To see a complete list of these locations, please visit our website and Facebook page.

Please be reminded that our elementary sites and community lunch sites will continue to provide Grab-and-Go lunches and breakfast for the following day. We have noticed that these sites have become a place where large community gatherings are starting to take place. Please be reminded that these sites are meant to provide an opportunity to provide meals in a drive-thru and grab-and-go style. Everyone should still be observing the recommendations established by the CDC for proper social distancing. Please make sure you are safely 6 feet from others when picking up meals. Again, our top priority is the safety and health of our students and families. Please help us by doing your part. Thank you!
