The Montgomery County Schools’ Board of Education has set the date for re-entry to face-to-face learning under State Plan B beginning on January 5, 2021. We understand the continued parental concern of COVID-19 and the fear of sending children to school. To accommodate this situation, MCS will offer a 100% remote instruction alternative that provides students a rigorous, equitable option to continue education from home. Montgomery County Schools’ leadership is developing plans to safely open schools to facilitate in-person instruction. For planning purposes, we need to gather information to ensure proper planning and accurate decision-making.
Students who choose remote learning will have access to all services and opportunities afforded to students in a face-to-face setting. This ensures children will receive a well-rounded education while focusing on their individual needs. If you are interested, please complete the form below to register your student in the 100% remote learning option with Montgomery County Schools for the Spring 2021 semester. Please provide information on a separate form for each child in your household.
Registration for remote learning must be completed by December 18, 2020. If you have questions or concerns while making this decision, please contact your child’s school principal. Please be advised that each student will be allowed one switch during the semester. If you start at Plan C you will be allowed one switch to Plan B and vice versa.
